Dang, Sergey. Did I hit a nerve? Feeling a little guilty about something? I am aware that you can block SPECIFIC ads from appearing by typing in the url of an ad in a filter. But I don’t want to go through every single Google ad and go check out the products to make sure I agree with them. Too much work and not worth the $.03 I’ll get from Google. Can I tell Google what ads I want to appear? Didn’t think so.

Some blogs are not a match for AdSense. This one and those like it are those kinds of blogs.

You’re an idiot. You can block any ads you don’t want displayed within your control panel. So, way to discourage people to not put Google ads on their blogs because you’re an uninformed ignorant idiot.

I love this post! I felt like you were speaking directly to me. My husband I were talking about this very thing this morning because I would like to find a way to generate some income from my blog, at least to cover cost, the cost of hosting etc. But as much as this would be a logical idea, I want to be so careful with it, because although my blog is new, it's so important to me, I value it, I want it to hold integrity, I want it have value to its readers.

Then this afternoon I came across your blog via http://worldsstrongestlibrarian.com/ read this post, it was meant to be, when I read the line "Would you sell your integrity for a penny? I know I wouldn’t." Presto, I felt lit up. You just nailed it.

Glad you dropped by. You’re welcome. There are a lot of ways to make money from blogging that don’t compromise your integrity. AdSense might be all right for some blogs (maybe pure humor blogs or something). But I’ve seen too many people putting AdSense on their blogs without even considering what they’re doing.

Google AdSense are ADVERTISEMENTS. And not having control over what ads appear on your own blog is just not worth it.

Best of luck with your new blog. I’m sure you’ll find a way to earn some money from it in a way that makes sense. Just keep creating great content and stay true to yourself and it’ll happen.
